Join Seattle Flashing Lights Photography at beautiful Mercer Estates Tasting Room in Georgetown for a fun filled evening of learning and hands on instruction to master the basics of digital photography!
This is a 3-part series class that will be taught by professional, award-winning photographer and owner of Seattle Flashing Lights Photography, Stephanie Skeffington.
The first class will go over camera basics including understanding aperture, shutter speeds, and ISO in order to learn how to use different settings on your camera as well as start to understanding how to operate your camera on manual mode. You will be able to understand the why behind the buttons on your camera and leave the class being able to take high quality images that you will be proud to show off.
The second class will go over more in-depth instruction on f-stops, proper exposure, white balance, and how to improve your manual setting performance to optimize the images you take. You will build on the skills learned in the first class after a short refresher on the previous information learned, and grow your skills to feel more comfortable and proficient behind the lens.
The third class will be a brief review of the basics and move into photo composition, we will go over the rule of thirds, leading lines, framing and how to take more creative photos. Each class will be about 2 hours long.
Hands on instruction, first glass of wine (choice of red or white), light snacks and take home material will be included in the price of your ticket. Wine will be available for purchase and you get wine club pricing the night of the class to boot! $5 from each ticket purchased for each class will be donated to Houston PetsAlive to help rehome dogs still being affected by Hurricane Harvey.
You will need to bring your own DSLR camera (not a point and shoot), memory card, charged battery and thirst for learning and good wine.
