Have you ever wondered how to pair food with wine? What to serve with your grilled salmon crusted with peppercorns or that yak roast your brother-in-law gave you? The winery is offering two sessions of a food and wine pairing class with Chef Treacy on May 19 to clear up your questions. Treacy pairs easy appetizers with five Madsen Family Cellars wines: Semillon, Beri’s Delight, Barbera, Horse Heaven Hills Cab, and Petit Verdot. He’ll explain why each pairing works, and he’ll also give you a pairing that doesn’t work for comparison. The appetizers focus on foods that you can easily assemble or just purchase. The first session begins at 3 pm and and the second session at 7 pm. Each session will run for approximately one hour. Space is limited to 24 people per session so all questions can be answered.
