Basque in the sunshine at Waters Winery in Walla Walla on June 30th! Chef Alena Waite with Lisa Dupar Catering (formally Chef of the Harvest Vine in Seattle) will treat us with specialties from the Basque region of Spain paired with wines from Jamie Brown's Waters Winery library!
Gildas – the classic Spanish tapas bite of manzanilla olives, boquerone, piparra peppers and anchovy
Aged manchego with membillo paste and olive oil
Salmorejo gazpacho shooter – a variation of gazpacho with cool jamon broth, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and bread; served with anchovy-stuffed olive and hard- boiled egg
Serrano jamon wrapped Spanish tortilla with garlic alioli, piquillo vinaigrette, frisee salad
Pulpo a la Gallega – sweet Spanish octopus with poached red potatoes, arbequina olive oil, flake salt and smoked pimento
Iberico; the incredible Spanish black-footed pig, grilled and served with Basque apple cider demi-glace, panaderas potatoes and pimenton
